What This Means
The Exit Lab platform, operated by Second Chair Advisory LLC, routes lead information from business owners who complete our valuation scanner to subscribing advisory firms that pay for access to leads within their assigned territories. Under the CCPA/CPRA, this routing of personal information in exchange for subscription fees may constitute a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information.
You have the right to opt out of this sale or sharing.
How to Opt Out
To opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information, send an email to [email protected] with the subject line "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" and include the following details:
- Your full name
- The email address you used when completing the scanner
- A statement that you wish to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information

What Happens After You Opt Out
If you opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information:
- Your contact information and scanner results will not be routed to a subscribing advisory firm.
- You will not receive a personalized advisor introduction through the Platform.
- Your exit readiness report, if already generated, will be limited to a general summary without the option for a personalized advisor connection.
- You may still use the educational resources on the Platform.
If You Have Already Submitted the Scanner
If you have already completed the scanner and your information has been shared with a subscribing advisory firm, we will notify the firm of your opt-out request and instruct them to cease using your personal information for marketing purposes. However, we cannot guarantee that the subscribing firm has not already acted on the information received prior to your opt-out request.
Non-Discrimination
We will not discriminate against you for exercising your right to opt out. However, opting out of data sharing may limit certain features of the Platform, as described above.
Response Time
We will process your opt-out request within 15 business days of receipt. For CCPA/CPRA access or deletion requests, we will respond within 45 days, subject to a 45-day extension where necessary.
